Kamar Chehimy

I am a biomedical engineer.

1. Research intern at a research company in France. My project was to design a graphical user interface using python to compare, analyze and visualize complex systems. Its first application was to measure similarity between pathological brain networks. Comparison of networks was performed using different graph comparison algorithms, and their analysis was accomplished using several data processing libraries such as SkLearn, Numpy, Scipy, Pandas etc. The interface was designed using PyQt5 which was compatible with many python libraries like Matplotlib and others.  
2. Research assistant at Rafik Hariri University. I worked on a research topic which was to classify fatigue levels for ultramarathon runners via vertical ground reaction force (VGRF) signals which required work on signal processing and machine learning. This project was recently submitted as a journal article. 
3. Instructor assistant at Rafik Hariri University. My duties were to assist my instructor in his labs (biomedical design- electric circuits- electronics- logic design …) by helping students to understand and implement their tasks and projects.
4. Biomedical Engineer Intern at Sidra medicine in Qatar, where I have learnt valuable professional skills in project planning, inventory management, maintenance and dealing with agents. My internship in Sidra Medicine was very comprehensive in which I had the opportunity to perform preventive and corrective maintenance as well as troubleshooting and calibration for a wide range of devices classified in general, operational, laboratory, imaging departments. Furthermore, I learnt the process of registering and integrating the medical devices in the hospital’s system to convert the patient’s data to electronic medical record that maintains these data in a safe system, reduces staff errors and speeds up the staff workflow. 

 I have graduated from Rafik Hairiri University with a master's and bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering
