الخبرة
I believe that my education and work experience encompass the merge of passion, responsibility and leadership.
My first job as a music teacher at an international private school in Egypt enhanced my teaching and communication skills with middle and high school students. This work experience, although it was brief, further developed my discipline and awareness of group dynamics among students with different personalities, desires and ambitions. Differentiated learning as well as ensuring motivation were daily tasks I made sure to prioritize in my job. In the US, I witnessed how schools have a lot more options than we do in our schools, so I wanted to ensure that my background and experience plays a role in enhancing music education where effective leadership and communication skills are used within the classroom.
Having the opportunity to become the assistant director/coordinator of the music program at AUC was a huge deal for me as I was eager to bring my perspective as an alumnus to the table and initiate program adjustments that I longed to experience as a student. As the coordinator, I founded the Professional Development Series in order to incorporate interpersonal and professional skills building workshops in the student experience. I began to emphasize on how important it is to give attention to our multidimensional selves in order to not only become successful musicians but also well rounded individuals who are aware and confident enough in making a change.
