Job summary
This position is a fully remote Open Source Engineer role in the Americas, focusing on the development and growth of an open source security infrastructure platform. The job requires 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development, extensive experience with the TypeScript ecosystem, and hands-on experience with Go in production.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core open source components for secrets management, PKI, PAM, and related infrastructure.
- Engage with the open source community by triaging issues, reviewing pull requests, and providing constructive feedback.
- Build and maintain contributor documentation to simplify onboarding and participation.
- Foster community engagement and encourage contributions from developers at all levels.
- Collaborate closely with the CTO and internal engineering teams to align open source initiatives with product goals.
- Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code while following best practices in TypeScript, Go, and modern full-stack development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
- Extensive experience with the TypeScript ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with Go in production, including CLI and Kubernetes development.
- Proven experience contributing to or maintaining open source projects.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
- Comfortable engaging with developer audiences and providing constructive feedback.
- Based in the Americas or able to consistently work during Americas time zones (US, Canada, or LATAM).
