- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or any other relevant field.
- At least five years of experience in developing, installing, operating, and maintaining software systems.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is an asset.
- Software development experience using Python, PHP, .NET, and Javascript programming languages. Experience with the Django framework, PostgreSQL databases, and SQL.
- Efficient in handling information and resources within an organization to promote knowledge retention and sharing information.
- Innovative uses of technology for development, particularly in the areas of data access, mobiles, and open source.
- Experience in project management and rolling out of large-scale projects, especially in hard-to-reach areas in developing countries is highly desirable.
- Strong Experience with HTML, CSS, and templating.
- Strong Experience with revision control systems such as GitHub
- Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and analysis databases (OLAP).
- Efficient in handling information and resources within an organization to promote knowledge retention and sharing information.

The BMA Consultant will provide technology support for Technology for Development initiatives mainly with Programmes, where systems developed in-house or via 3rd party need maintenance and technical supervision ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services to beneficiaries based on Programme needs.
