Jamale El eid

I have a background in healthcare management with a BS degree in medical laboratory and a Master’s degree in public health with a concentration in health management and policy from the American University of Beirut, both with GPA (> 85/100). I am also a certified Project Management professional (PMP) with good standing. Currently, I am seeking doctoral studies in Public health with a concentration in Leadership and Global Health in addition to a certification in Safety, Quality, Informatics and Leadership from Harvard Medical School. 

I have around 15 years of post-graduate experience in healthcare and higher education institutions. I have worked in a hospital setting-Ain Wazein Hospital- for five years where i covered the positions of quality officer (2.5 years) and head of the administrative division in the medical administration (2.5 years) and i worked in the areas of healthcare management, quality management and accreditation, strategic planning, human resources management, and healthcare operations in addition to leading and contributing in various medical and non-medical projects. I currently work at the American University of Beirut and its medical center as an executive administrator. I have led and contributed to various projects, market analysis and feasibility studies. I am also in charge of the administrative section of the nephrology and hypertension division at the medical center and coordinate the nephrology fellowship and electives program and its accreditation. In addition, I am the administrator of the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) (that includes the Institutional Review Board (IRB)) for which I am in charge of their Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), JCI and AAHRPP certification and accreditation projects. I also oversee and manage the compliance and auditing, education and outreach function.

Furthermore, and since 2014, I have started my academic endeavor as an instructor at the Lebanese University and Sagesse University and provide courses on Communication Skills for Health, Project Management and Quality Management and Accreditation in Healthcare Management Master Programs. Teaching and Academics have always been my extracurricular passion that I do with pleasure on the top job. My priceless reward is when I discover how my students are satisfied and happy with what I have been providing over the past years.

My main experience is in the field of quality management and accreditation. This includes both healthcare management management and administration and Human Research Protection Program management and accreditation.   

My second passion is research and academics. I have been in this domain for around 8 years where i provide courses in higher education programs and offer academic advising for senior projects and practicum work.   

i have a background in healthcare and healthcare management supported with a BS in Medical Laboratory Technology and a Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Health Management and Policy (MPH-HMP). I also hold a professional certification as a project management professional (PMP) and now seeking another certification in Safety, Safety, Informatics and Leadership (SQIL) from Harvard Medical School. 

In addition, i finished the course work of my Doctorate in Public Health program and currently working on the thesis which is in the field of Leadership and Global Health. My research interest is preterm birth and information and support needs the families and caregivers need to survive a preemie and help them meet their developmental milestones.
